THE MAYOR of Redcar & Cleveland is hosting a charity golf day, with all proceeds going to two local charities: Zoe’s Place Baby Hospice and EVA Women’s Aid.
Cllr Billy Wells will host the day, which is set to take place at 2pm on Friday 20 September at the Hunley Hotel and Golf Club in Brotton, Saltburn by the Sea.
The cost to enter the event is £160 for a team of four, which includes a presentation ceremony with a meal, and presentation of trophies and prizes by the Mayor.
Cllr Wells said: “The Charity Golf Day will be an excellent way to raise money and awareness for two charities in need of funds.”
“The event will also promote the enjoyment of golf as a sport and the facilities available at Hunley Golf Club’.”
The day will start with tea & coffee and goody bags on arrival, followed by a 2pm shotgun start to tee off the golf.
Prizes will be available for first, second, and third place teams. Other prizes will be available for the ‘nearest the pin’ drive and ‘beat the pro’.
The event is supported by Parker Stag Ltd, a local estate agent in Redcar.
