Cheer on the Nab runners

ESTON will be hosting one of the region’s most challenging races on Saturday 20 July when the SABIC Eston Nab Challenge Race returns.

The 5km and 10km races begin at 10am in Eston square with the winners’ presentations taking place at 11.30am.

Locals and visitors are encouraged to support the runners and enjoy the open-air market in the town’s centre square.

Councillor Karen King, Deputy Leader of Redcar & Cleveland Borough Council, said: “Good luck to all the runners.

“Eston will be bustling with competitors, the race organisers, market traders and shoppers. It’ll be a great atmosphere and I hope the crowds make as much noise as possible supporting the runners.”

Event sponsor SABIC’s Site Director Daren Smith said: “SABIC are delighted to support this event, which is right on our doorstep and we’ve encouraged our own employees to take part too.”

The SABIC Eston Nab Challenge Race is a partnership of Redcar & Cleveland Borough Council, event sponsors SABIC and race organisers Hardmoors.
