Friends of Redcar
Friends of Redcar is a community action group providing practical and physical support to issues that matter in and around Redcar.
We will be working to inform and assist the council to improve areas that require attention.
Our goals are to assist the community, Redcar and Cleveland Borough council and private enterprises with areas of concern in relation to preservation, environmental and restorative issues in whatever capacity we can in “Creating a Better Redcar”.
“Better” meaning Redcar’s visual appearance, cultural collectivity, improved commercialism, marketing of events and entertainment, awareness to trade locally and to improve/increase tourism.
We also intend to bring together similar local groups to provide support and harmony to projects.
Our initial project “Beach Action Group” (BAG) was launched on the 5th August 2013 with a litter pick on the beach involving, residents, council, politicians and media.
