You can do it if you put your back in to it

During the first three Sundays of September (6th, 13th, 20th) please join me with the Friends of Redcar (FRED) to focus on community activities, environmental action, physical and mental health, education and some incredible views from our coastline. Year on year we are joined by hundreds of Redcar and Cleveland residents and visitors from all over the North East to take part in our efforts to look after and love our home by taking positive action against waste materials on our sea front. We will be holding social distancing clean ups, litter picks, a nurdle hunt and walks around the South Gare up to Majuba on these dates. These events can be found on our fb page: https://www.facebook.com/FriendsOfRedcar and more details and links to each event can be found below. Thank you.

PLEASE NOTE:
NOT ALL THESE EVENTS ARE SUITABLE FOR CHILDREN AND ARE MORE ROBUST THAN THE AVERAGE LITTER PICKING SO PLEASE DO READ BEFORE SIGNING UP.
WE WILL ADHERE TO SOCIAL DISTANCING RULES. PLEASE HELP US BY OBSERVING YOUR PERSONAL AND FAMILY SPACE.
PLEASE PROVIDE YOUR OWN GLOVES AND SANITIZER AND WE’LL TAKE CARE OF THE REST. THANK YOU.

2nd Annual Redcar Beach Nurdle Hunt!
What are nurdles? These are microplastics which are now found on almost every beach across the world. Nurdles are small plastic pellets the size of a small bracelet bead. Countless billion are used each year to make nearly all our plastic products but many end up washing up on our shores. With little effort we will find these on Redcar beach. Bring your children for an education they will never forget.
