REDCAR HALF MARATHON
A temporary road closure will be in operation the following roads on Sunday the 29 th September
2019 from 7am – 2pm:
Coast Road (From High Street roundabout Marske to Zetland roundabout, Redcar)
Granville Terrace, Redcar (For its full length)
The Esplanade, Redcar (For its full length)
Newcomen Terrace, Redcar (To its junction with Majuba Road)
Majuba Road, Redcar (For its full length)
Bridge Road, Redcar (For its full length)
Trunk Road, Redcar (From Kirkleatham Lane to Westgate roundabout)
Green Lane, Redcar
The Marathon has been arranged by Redcar and Cleveland Borough Council in partnership with

MIDDLESBROUGH ROAD TRAFFIC SIGNAL UPGRADES AND RESURFACING WORK –
STOKESLEY ROAD AND PARK LANE, GUISBOROUGH
Multi-way temporary traffic signals will be in operation on 16 th September 2019 for up to 7 weeks for
signalling works and resurfacing. Works to be carried out by Redcar and Cleveland Borough Council

HIGH STREET / CLEVELAND STREET / NORMANBY ROAD, NORMANBY
Multi-way temporary traffic signals will be in operation from 16 th September 2019 for up to 2 weeks
for mains replacement works. Works to be carried out by Northern Powergrid (In case of signals

BYLAND CLOSE & WYKEHAM CLOSE, REDCAR
A temporary road closure will be in operation from 15 th July, 2019 for up to 10 weeks for the
Installation of new drainage system as part of new housing development. Works to be carried out by

A1085 TRUNK ROAD (Broadway to Kirkleatham Lane)
A temporary lane closure with be in operation on 18 th September 2019 for up to 10 working days to
resurface cycle way. Works to be carried out by Redcar and Cleveland Borough Council (Enquiries:

BETWEEN TAUNTON VALE & FERNIE ROAD, GUISBOROUGH
A temporary footbath closure will be in operation on 16 th September 2019 for up to 3 weeks for
essential Substation Maintenance. Works to be carried out by Northern Powergrid (Enquiries:

MARSKE ROAD, SALTBURN
Two-way temporary traffic signals will be in operation on 24 th September 2019 for up to 3 days to
repair a leaking main in carriageway. Works to be carried out by Northumbrian Water (In case of

BOOSBECK ROAD, SKELTON GREEN
Two-way temporary traffic signals will be in operation on 27 th September 2019 for up to 3 days to
replace wooden pole with column. Works to be carried out by Bouygues (In case of signals failure:

NORMANBY ROAD, SOUTH BANK

(In centre of roundabout, junction A66 South Bank
Bypass, A66 South Bank to Grangetown & Normanby Road)
A temporary lane closure will be in operation on 19 th September 2019 for 1 day to repair/replace
manhole cover and frame. Works to be carried out by Northumbrian water (Enquiries: 0191

SPAIN HILL, MARSKE
A temporary road closure will be in operation on 30 th September 2019 for up to 10 days for service
replacement works. Works to be carried out by Northern Powergrid (Enquiries: 0191 5370006)

BIRCHINGTON AVENUE, GRANGETOWN
Multi-way temporary traffic signals will be in operation on 24 th September 2019 for up to 2 days to
repair defective manhole. Works to be carried out by Northumbrian water (In case of signals failure:

BACK AMBER STREET, SALTBURN
A temporary road closure will be in operation on 23 rd h September 2019 for up to 3 weeks service

Two-way temporary traffic signals will be in operation on 23 rd September 2019 for up 3 days to repair

LORD STREET, REDCAR
Two-way temporary traffic signals will be in operation on 26 th September 2019 for up to 3 days
replace 1 joint box frame and cover. Works to be carried out by BT
