TV celebrity to visit Saltburn Library

POPULAR TV personality Clare Balding OBE will be visiting Saltburn next week to meet and greet locals as she talks about her series of children’s book.

The BBC sports presenter and radio broadcaster will be at Saltburn Library on Wednesday 25 September, 6.30 – 7.30pm as she signs copies of her books and meets her fans.

Along with her autobiography, My Animals and Other Family, Clare is also the author of a series of popular children’s books: The Racehorse Who Learned To Dance, The Racehorse Who Wouldn’t Gallop and The Racehorse Who Disappeared.

Councillor Karen King, Deputy Leader of Redcar & Cleveland Borough Council, said: “We’re thrilled to welcome Clare Balding to Saltburn.

“We’re happy to support anything that encourages reading and Clare’s infectious enthusiasm is bound to inspire the children. I’m sure there’ll be a big demand so get in touch with the library to make sure you get your place booked.”

Places at the event are free but must be booked in advance at the library or by calling 01287 623584.

Copies of Clare Balding’s books will be on sale at the event, supplied by Saltburn’s Book Corner.
