What advice would you give to people of the area who are considering going in to business?
Go for it! The first step is the biggest but also the best. You will have fantastic support from the business community who all want to see you succeed. They are a brilliant source of wisdom and have been doing it for years so they know what works, what to expect and who to call on when you just need that little push to get you over the line. The network events are a great place to start to get a feel for the support and advice they have to offer.
What, in your opinion would the area benefit from to make it more attractive to business owners considering setting up in business in Redcar and Cleveland?
Speaking from my own experience the drive into Redcar itself needs a billboard highlighting the fantastic things to do in our town. Tourism and Leisure is a massive part of any seaside town so give the people what they want, skate parks, hotels, major leisure events like a fairground, big wheel, give them something to see from miles away that says “ I need to go there”
